I've found Asus notebooks give the most bang for the buck. They make the motherboards found in many other name brand laptops.
Something like this baby here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16834220331 is under 1000 USD and has a dedicated 512MB gpu. Just look around the new egg site (they rock) for other models that you might like.
I have found Asus service to be top notch. I'm on my 2nd asus laptop. My first one died with 2 months left in its 2 year warranty (most other laptops have 1 year warranty, if that) cuz i dropped it a few times (dont tell asus lol). They couldnt get a replacement motherboard, so they gave me a BRAND NEW laptop with better specs then the one i was turning in, and i mean no questions asked, they paid for shipping both ways. I sold that one to a friend for cheap, and bought another Asus that im using right now. It plays KO at 70+fps and does everything you could ever need a laptop to do. Oh yeah my power cord on my current laptop went bad so they sent me out one, next day fedex, for FREE. Good luck getting that service with mac, dell toshiba, etc.
try www.zepto.com again, there were some problems with their host yesterday :P
u could prolly get a quite good computer there thats where i got mine from, and it handles everything quite well, i got a fps on 67 in moradon on my laptop X)
