    I am looking for a new gaming laptop and just started shopping around. Back about 4-5 years ago the Dell XPS was the highest rated machine on the market.

    But I am not sure now what is the best. I was thinking about the new Dell but just not sure since it's been so long, let me know what you think:

    Now I hear Dell is dropping their line of XPS systems and only going to have Alienware as their gaming puters...same components at a higher price...zzz.

    You get more bang for ur buck with dell xps, why spend more for less just so u can have a different case that isn't even that nice?

    there's no such thing as a "gaming laptop" some are abit better in terms of gaming, but they're nothing compared to desktops.

    why even buy a laptop to play games on ? you like playing on a small screen ? with some way to small keyboard ? i'm pretty sure you could buy a good desktop (if you put it together yourself ofcourse) and a cheap laptop for the price you're paying for this monster. keep the cheap laptop for whatever reason you might need a laptop and let the desktop handle all the gaming.

    You can hook a bigger screen (17 is fine imo though) to the laptop, aswell as a desktop keyboard/mouse and ur good to go.

    I think you get the most bang for the buck with asus laptops. They make the MBs for many brand name mfgs.
