Remove the limits so other people can download as much as possible with the best speed as posssible, then try again downloading your own stuff. If you don't allow other to get the best from you the program will limit your connectivity.

I use limewire too and love it, just gotta set it up right. Shareaza was good a year ago but takes to long to connect and dl's seem slow.

Bittorent is still the best tho. :P mininova ftw
