They give you an IP adress along with a login name and a password.
Then you go to your "Network Connections" in your Control Panel, choose "Add a new connection", Choose, "Connect from my work place", then "Virtual Private Network (VPN)", name it (madvpn or idk), then you put the adress they gave you. Then a login screen will appear after you are done, thats where you use the login and password they gave you. And you ready to go, you now connected under a masked IP ;D

I dunno what you mean by required bro. If your asking is a dedicated VPN required the, the answer is yes. do not try to purchase shared or dynamic VPN because they will NOT work.
