1. go to the start menu.
2. right click on My Computer and click on properties.
3. you will see the "system properties".
4. click on advanced tab
5. under performance click on settings.
6. you will see the "performance options"
7. click the advanced tab
8. click on change under "virtual memory"
9. change the initial and maximum size to 1152 and "set", the best amount should be 1.5x your ram.
Might be a third party program draining memory aswell.
There are current Trojans atm which cause DoS. > Run > cmd > netstat
More then 15 connections would be abnormal

it should always be 1.5x,
pagefile is a slow ram, memory used from hard drive. The higher you set it means the more of the hard drive and less of the ram you will use, causing a slow computer.
jetsam
i love your LoTR sigggy
on topic: to check all the connections you have
1) start menu
2)Connect To
3)Show all connections
i hope that helped, if it didnt
sorry
See if you are running any peer-to-peer downloading programs or type in CMD in "run" and click ok or press enter. Then type in netstat and then press enter. if you see more than 15 connections then something is wrong
