Game crashes while loading

Not my problem but it's happening to a clanny. Basically one of 4 things happen when they load KO:

Black screen after the K2/Mgames
Game crashes while loading Effects at 34%
Game crashes while loading character data at 99%
game loads fine

Another computer in their house loads KO just fine without problems, but it's not theirs so they cant use it. It wouldnt be a router problem I believe since the other computer isn't effected by this problem. Their computer meets all the needs and then some to Run KO fine.

Any ideas why?

if u try to diasble ur connection while the game is loading ,it crashes.
i think these problems are about connections.
maybe about ports.

reinstall game or delete xtrap folder and XPatch,run options and set a precedent patch,press contents of the update,save changes and start.
ko will download last patch and create xtrap again.
it's just one of variantes.maybe will work.on my pc worked.
if doesn't just reinstall game and clear temp.

ok i had the exact same problem with my computer. I did some research into the problem and found that i had memory leak. To fix it i went into task manager and to processes and stoped the program/process that was hoggin my memory. The program that was doing it to me was msn mesenger and i reloaded the programm and it fixed it. If its not a program but a windows process than just end the process and use regedit to save it so it dosnt use it anymore when your computer starts up. hope that works for you

also, this started happened after RoFD, never before in KE

soemtimes is just freezes for 1-5 mins and then I can type id and pass and sometiems I get no server list and sometimes I ge pushed to windows and game crashes

i meant if ko client lose connection for secs it cause dc in game or crashs while loading

It's an issue with your computer - perhaps your processor or your graphics card - at those screens, the loading and the splash, they require an immense amount of processing/connection power as well as graphical power, respectively. Attempt to open other games, such as World of Warcraft or Guild Wars - you may experience the same problem.
