For everyone else the Shopping Cart is empty, its like showing C:\My Documents\Purepwnage.jpg <-- Look at me killing 15 people without dieing!, nobody but you can see it.
So try to copy paste the info in here or take a screenshot and upload it.

Ok, I'm sorry for that. I'll let my boyfriend do that when he has time.

nvidea GTX295 is a very excelent choice. Extremely expensive, but a WAY better then the GTX 280-285.,
Also you should take a look into SLI videocards.

I would personally go dual or triple SLI videocards, with that budget, but it costs more power. You have 1000+w so that is enough i guess.

Memory, find some DDR3 dual 2gb dimms, with like 1600mhz, and its fine.

The CPU is very nice too, i got a the phenom II X4 940 black edition, and overclocked it to 3.617 Ghz per core, i guess you can go a little bit further with the 955, if you are good at it. But that is not necessarely at all with your config.

In all honesty, with that limit of yours, you'll want to plan for the future.

Get yourself a i7 920, have it OC'd to at least 3.8ghz if you can't or won't do it yourself.
Tripple Channel DDR3, 6 or even 9GB 1600mhz should do the job :P
I personally would go for a DUAL Geforce 9800GTS rather than a single nvidea GTX295, but if your budget lets you.. go for dual gtx295.
You'll also want a rather small 160gb HDD as primary, for that we'll take a VelociRaptor, and most likely another 250-500gb SATA2 7200rpm as secondary HDD, if the space is needed.. which, most likely is unless you plan on keeping your HDD free at all times.
The Case is alright, funny sidenote to that.. some other guy wanted to buy the same just a week ago, posting it on here being all hyped up and wouldnt believe me when I told him it was overpriced (the store he wanted to buy it from had it for 240$ in :>)
The PSU is way overpriced, I'd try get my hands on one of the Corsair series, if you're going with SLI you'll want the 750W model.

Your setup isn't bad in first place, but if you're planning on spending 1500 to 1800$ you can 5 times as good as what you've got listed up there.

TOTAL: $1300 Without GTX295 & Aftermarket Heatsink

If he's able to get someones 64-bit Operating Systen (Vista/Windows7) then he won't need to buy it, there goes $100 off the total price but Home Premium is superior to Home Basic with features if he is required to buy it.

32-bit OS will only register half of the RAM, but he could use his or someone elses 32-bit OS for awhile if he cannot buy a new one since thats easily enough ram to run off of for awhile untill he gets the new one.

None of those links work

And the GTX295 is a lot better than the GTX285.

Graphic Card & PSU:
1000W PSU is overkill for a single 285 card, you can run a GTX295 on a 650 if I remember correctly. If he had two or three big ass cards then it would be fine.

I would suggest the Corsair 750W Power Supply and the GTX295. The GTX295 is basicly two 285's in an easy way to put it. If you guys don't want the 295 then I would suggest the cheaper GTX260, it can max Crysis with 25-35 FPS on 1280x1024 and such but its nowhere close to a 295.

Motherboard:
Don't get an EVGA x58 Classified if you don't plan to throw the best computer parts at the computer (double the price), just get the regular one that I suggested.

RAM:
The G.Skill 6GB Ram 1600mhz costs half as much with the same specs and the quality is about equal to corsair.

HD:
Get a VelociRaptor 300GB for $50 more.

DVD Drive:
I don't think that DVD Drive is a DVD Writer, which means that he cannot save or burn anything to CD's/DVD's.
