Need help with new moniter

ok heres situation i bought a new moniter and set it up and all and got rid of my old one and i have this problem with it where if i watch a video it just sucks the frames per second im guessing just drop and its terrible ive tried a bunch of stuff googled and shit but nothing hoping someone can help..
Its like the video freezes and plays for 1 and a half seconds and skips audio is fine but the moniter idk whats up.

ill post system specs if needed in awhile

BTW monitor is envision brand if that may help

Some monitors need drivers installed to make them run properly, have you ran any CD's that would have came with the monitor? There should be no reason why a new monitor is cutting off the video or anything like that unless theres a driver problem or possibly a cable problem. Are you hooking it up by VGA, DVI, using any styles of converters?
