KO & AMD 64

If you got huge fps spike with an AMD 64 you can lower it alot by doing a bios update, cause i just bought an AMD64 and i had huge fps spikes in ko like jump from 100 to 10 every 2 sec making my chr warp forward and i did bios update as a friend told me i should try and now i dont have the spikes anymore, i post it since CSrep told me ko didnt support AMD64 so he couldnt help me fix it.

MB: ASrock 939Dual SATA-2
CPU: AMD64 3500+ <-- not over heated is around 35 degree celcius
Ram: 1024 DDR400

Don't think that must be caused by your CPU. It might be something completely unrelated. Like perhaps a background app that keeps redrawing something every time you get the "fps spike".

I got ASrock 939Dual-SATA2

An amd 64 cpu can handle any existing 32bit applications , you can run regular 32bit windows on it you dont have to run winx64 , thing is about KO and 64 bit cpu's that if you were to install a 64bit os you cant play ko , its not supportet.

i use a 32bit OS. And still topic is only here to help if some ppl got same prob as i did with my amd 64.

I have 2 PCs exactly the same, 1 with that driver and 1 without. Couldnt tell the difference. Both PCs with XP SP2 and latest patches. Is it really needed?

yeah i cbf with all that 64bit shit my solution stay on the old mobos..

I got the cpu driver installed and i fixed all my FPS SPIKES by doing bios update :P

Would be kinda stupid to stick with an old 32bit cpu now wouldnt it ?
Having a 64bit cpu doesnt mean that you have to run a 64 bit os , it handles 32 bit applications just as well.
