I don't recommend Alienware at all, since getting bought by Dell their level of service has dropped off considerably. When I ordered a new desktop from them back in June they took my money within 24 hours and then didn't give me any news for a full month. I then cancelled the order, got a refund, and went to newegg.com.
Judging from customer feedback, my experience with Alienware is quite typical since around 2007 or so.
