PayPal issue need advice

So i sold some virtual items to a guy on another game and he payed me by sending me money over paypal with the send money option.

It said completed so i gave him the virtual items and now it says the payment is held saying that it was an unauthorised payment.

so i told them that i sent him the virtual items with screens shots of the trade in process + 3 msn screenshots where he admits he got the trade and i told them he was buying items from a virtual game am i gonna lose the money i got from him and my virtual items or will i get the money.

I mean does paypal protect me or him?

Its not who paypal protects, it all depends on whether that other persons account is linked to a CC or not. Because if thats a case 99% of the time, if they do a chargeback or etc, you will lose the case.
