Problem with MSN symbol keys

Hello,

I have Win xp, sp2.

In MSN when I type the signs above the numbers ---> ( ! " · $ % & / ( ) = ? ¿ ) I get other codes, for example when I type = I get Pts!. Even I can not type vowels with accent as: á é í ó ú
This stuff only happens in Live MSN 8, not in my overpowered Windows Word Pad.

Does anybody know what's happening?

The problem would lead me to believe it could be somthing to do with the Regional Settings on your computer,
however you say you dont have the problem in any other programs, just MSN.

Only thing i could really suggest would be to take a look at your 'Regional Settings on your computer'
