AVG is great protection for the amount of system resources it uses. Good for gaming systems. Not to mention it's completely free.
I'm using kasperspy on my main machine because I'm very paranoid. It warns you before letting any program make changes to the registry.
Avast has a little bit more protection than AVG, but I still prefer AVG for my other systems (and the systems I work on), because Avast will nag you after a certain period to register before allowing updates.
i heard avg actually adds stuff to ur pc that makes it more vulnerable not sure wat my pc guy told me... I use yahoo btw
