There have been recent hacking attempts where people were going to knightonlineworld.com and viewing a "lookalike" page instead - this may as well alter your DNS for knightonlineworld.com, causing you to enter your username/password in something else.

To solve most of connection problems use static dns entry.
open : hosts file (in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc)
add this entry :

4.79.218.32******xtrap.knightonlineworld.com

It is as simple as locating your "hosts" file in your C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc folder, opening the file in notepad, and adding that IP address and the xtrap.knightonlineworld.com to the file. Just hit enter to make a new line and place the new IP and info at the bottom of the page. Save the file, and try the KO launcher.

Worked for me and many others, good luck.
