    hey,

    i just formated my computer and installed my dads original Windows XP Professional, its activated and all. i also installed all my drivers and Norton Internet Security 2004.

    Now to the problem, when i try to set my screen resolution to 1024 x 768 ect. then the computer restarts, it also restarts when i try install CS in steam. when it restarts Windows get setback to the original settings.

    as i make this post im updating windows.


    well i hope someone know how i can fix this or just give me a clue cuz im realy losed here, im usaly able to fix stuff but this goes over my head.

    Norton Internet Security 2004 is 3years old, skip it, get a new.

    Update vga cards driver, not windows updates driver.

    must be from ur vga driver, install all ur drivers like sound,vga....etc
