Alright, so I bought a surround sound 5.1 system for my comp today, only to realize i had an on board Sound card, i immediately ordered a Creative Labs sound blaster 5.1 sound card(cheap, yes i know.), And i was wondering, will the on board sound card affect anything that will happen once i install this card into my pc? will it cause it not to start up? any recommendations as to what to do when installing it?
the integrated soundcard wont cause any trouble
When installing a Soundblaster card you should disable the onboard card and that you do in bios.
