Fair enough.

I've written a number of guides, but that upgrading guide is the one I get thanked for (in-game) the most, so I know it's helped a lot of people.

To +3 if you really need the item use bus all the way.

For something rare, I agree, use BUS only.

For common high class (e.g. chitin), HUS from 1->2 is pretty reliable.

I am currently 224 out of 226 (99%) from 1->2 with HUS. You can make money up'ding high class to +2 and selling for more than the cost of a HUS scroll.
