k, im using an ACER aspire 5720Z laptop
w/ 32-bit Vista Home premium (yea i know vista sucks)
    2gb of ram
Graphics card- Mobile Intel® 965 express family (think this might be the reason why KO laggs, don't see why though, it has 358 mb)

tried almost everything to run game smoothly, switched campatibility to xp s2, run as admin, lowered display, switch to best performance instead of appearance, but still laggs.
    Any idea why?
    thnx in advance

the graphix card is integrated that why it laggs. it's all behind ur gfx card right now. theres almost nothing u can do to remove the lag.
the shared memory has no effect on ko's performance so u can just set the memory to minimum and u have more available ram.

yea this integrated card sucks, just dont see why KO laggs, when it doesnt even need much to run O_o , i would think it would run better but guess not.
Anyways, if any1 knows a possible solution (which dont think exist ) i would apreciate it. thnx.

keep your chipset drivers up to date would be the only possible fix. integrated graphics shouldn't be that much of a problem since my old laptop could run KO fine.

I have an Intel Graphics card as well. Its the biggest bullshit you can have for playing KO. I have to play with the lowest settings and i still only get 20 fps on a good run.

If you go out and buy a graphics card it would greatly improve your system performance my suggestion is NVIDIA 9800 GT .
My opinion best price for performance unless you really want to invest then go for some of latest one which are over 200USD.
    That is probably best solution.
Also a nice CPU is good. My graphics are also shared but my CPU is one of latest one and i run ko with over 40FPS on high settings high resolution nicely. Better than my laptop 10FPS xD
i am going to buy myself a new graphics card myself

Your computer @Stisis has integrated graphics I think.
    These suck.

Also 358mb has nothing to do w/ how much fps you'll get.

    @Assassinofthemis...
    You've a gfx card.
    Not integrated.

thing is, it works fine w/ other games, higher-end games, like call of duty 4. KO seems to be only game giving me problems.

Alot of people seem to think KO likes cpu rather than gfx, that may be why.
