Wahts this error mean?

Well i keep getting this error whenever i satrt knight online, it says

CAnt Create D3D Device please, Check DirectX or Display card driver also i get this little black box that says Auto adjust in progress

Anyone know whats wrong and how i can fix it? i already tryed re downlaoding it :S and also i do have directX 9.0

re install direct x9

and downloads a new driver for your graphic card, and install it.

if it&#39;s an ATI, dl catalist driver
if it&#39;s an Nvidia, dl detonator driver.
