If you were peruvian, I'll help you personally, that's my business ^_^
get your stuff from newegg.com and build one yourself.
without a screen you should be able to get a good gaming system for $1200.

NCIX.com
They will build your computer and test it for an extra $50 when you buy all of the parts, just make sure that the stuff is compatable by having a buddy who knows stuff about building computers helping you out (msn or irl).
Its a site like newegg where you buy stuff from, just costs extra to get it put together.
Building a computer is like half as much compared to buying one from Dell or some other site.

the a,b, ... is the letter for the WAN standards (i think, might have translated it wrong). all you need is a router that supports one of them (802.11b, 802.11g, a higher last letter means a better transfer rate and range of the signal)

+1 to that. With 1200 you can build a very nice gaming machine.

Provided you already have a monitor and a mouse/keyboard, and OS....this should more then "get you by". I doubt you could push this machine to 50% processor usage. I know it is a bit over your budget, but I think coming up with $131 would be worth it. Oh yah, and you dont really need to buy an OS, just download Windows 7 Home Premium. (the free beta) that will get you by until August 1st when they close the beta and you need to buy it.
The i7 CPU can be overclocked all the way to 3.8 - 4.2 ghz on air but nobody really needs it to be that high for quite some time so it will last anybody a long time.
If you plan to play on that laptop at home then the laptop will not be very good for you in the long run.
A $1000 laptop is as good as a $300-400 Store bought Desktop and a $4000+ Laptop should run as well as a $1200(?) ish Custom Desktop.
u should have checked tigerdirect.com i bought my laptop for 899 and didnt pay extra tax.
