It all depends on what u use your computer for lol..
I use a quad core 3.2 gigahertz (AMD)
And I can run each application w.o lags.
If you've got the money go for it :P
But you can better save money and buy a cheaper processor and buy better RAM/video card!

well i've got 12gb ram and dunno what videocard to get yet. got the money so its cool ^^ im using it for gaming/video editing etc :P

6core = waste of money nth uses that many corse unless your making music or videos at a very high lvl. get a quad core ans save money.
