win2k product key question.

Ok so this guy on ebay sold me an edo ram card with a free copy of windows but the sticker looks like it was taken off a computer and stuck to a slip of paper and the cd looks like it's a home burn job with a win2k logo printed on the disk.

Anyone know if there's a way to check the product key to see if it's ever been registered with microsoft?
