So today i was just surfing the internet and then my pc restarts.

I log back in and this new antivirus pops up saying i've got like 33 new virus's and that all my protection was turned off (which it was). I try pressing Ctrl + Alt + Dlt and it says 'Your administrator has blocked the task manager' - when i'm the only admin. So i'm like wtf -_-... try opening control panel and it doesn't open and freezes the whole pc > restart.
Thing pops up again saying i need to register and then i knew it def was a virus itself etc.

Long story short, this new XP antivirus is actually a rogue trojanhorse.

I've deleted all the files and folders it had and changed the registery cltr+alt+dlt bback to default.
I searched how to take it off and it recommended Malware antimalware but it didn't work for me..'run time error 5'

So my Q is, is there anything else i need to do? Anyone know about this thing, could it still be running on my pc? etc etc

I HAD EXACTLY THE SAME SHIT TOO, SO I MADE A RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET.

It's really an anti-virs programm but it's installing ITSELF on ur computer and it will FORCE you to buy it online. Google a tutorial on how to delete that thing, there's one. If that won't work, do a rollback.

I see anything that even looks like an antivirus, I instantly close it out and run spyware. I don't use an antivirus, don't need one unless you're stupid about what you dl.

    Sounds like spyware.

Download Spybot, it's a free malware removal program.

    And don't browse porn.
