so many programs that let you monitor it, i just use easytune 5 pro when i need to know how hot my cpu or gpu is and how fast my fans are going.

there's some command you can use with your own Windows that configures the Bios to check the temperature constantly...a friend of mine told me about it, as soon as he connects I'll ask him how and post it.

but easytune has built-in overclocking abilities !!!1!1!1!!!

i just find it easy to be able to tune some of the things (fsb, fan speeds etc.) without having to change it in the BIOS and the fact that it can give a warning when your fan drops below a certain rpm or your cpu/gpu gets to hot.

Xtrap / HackShield / etc sometimes see these apps as "3rd party tools" if they hook into ACPI to change fan speeds etc

Just as a warning in case you suddenly can't run something
