thx bro
fraps ftw , edit with vegas
Not necessarily, fraps with his default settings might have the best quality compared to other programs with their default settings.
But there are other programs out there, that if set the settings to high quality settings, it could give you same performance that fraps does.
It just depends on what you prefer.
I personally use OBS, I heard BandiCam isn't too bad either.
good luck.

fraps is trash. files are too big, performance hit is too high if you're not on a top of the line computer.
i got my hands on a cracked mirillis' action! it's good!
mirillis' action you got any vids ya done with it?
i was using dxtory, if you have good CPU you can record videos in any quality you choose, i.e. directly x265 codec
Haven't touched a gamerecorder for like 6-7 years
(back then I was a kid and thought it was cool to make a montage of flawing people with some linking park or gangsta music in the background)
but I used gamecam, is it still being used?
Lol all this 4 k render posts, wased of space and time, Vegas detects the raw video quality and the whole project is then based on it, even when ur project is done and u choose 4k render there will be no difference, u can't upscale the fps or the quality.
About recording; I haven't seen any better programs then shadowPlay this is by far the best one without even 1 fps drop. Pressing 1 key to save the last 2-3-4or even the last 10min of game play. No need for pre recording shit like siting in town and cutting it out on Vegas to just capture 1 moment
I used dxtory for my latest vid. It didn't cause any fps drop, and it records in hd
Yes you can.
Take a moment, render a 1080p video and then render a 2160p video (with good settings..) using Sony Vegas.
Open both videos and check if you notice any difference.
If you couldn't notice anything,
1- you are blind.(no offence but...)
2- you didn't render it properly.
I have tried more than enough settings for a 1080p video, never got anything that looks nearly as good as a 2160p video.
I admit, it takes a lot longer to render a 2160p video and eventually you get a bigger file (size wise) but I rather give it few more hours in order to give my viewers the option to see my video on the best quality.
Bottom line is, whether you like it or not
2160p rendered videos looks better than 1080p rendered videos.
UNLESS, you are uploading a video that you never rendered before then the results of a rendered video (2160p) and a 1080(non rendered) would probably be the same.
But in case you are making a pk video, which means you'll have to render it.. whether you like it or not.. 2160p looks better than 1080p.
