I too have loved Flight Of The Conchords for their original version of songs.
I just thought combining an action pk movie with something a lot lighter and funnier than the usual grunge/rock/metal covers we see in all pk videos, would be different and might appeal to some people who appreciate folk music. The song "The humans are dead" is the one that made me think of its possible use as a KO pk movie soundtrack. With all these said it is only a matter of taste after all. I hope you enjoyed the combination.
