FRAPS = Best quality, lag (big CPU usage), big avi size (high bitrate)

GameCam = Medium quality, less CPU usage than FRAPS, smaller avi size (compressing on-the-fly)

Conclusion: FRAPS for max quality, GameCam for better gameplay under using.

Get C4pt4iN's advice depending on your PC (No one likes low FPS movies)

Gamecam movies look like crap. I'm pretty sure u can change quality options but guess most ppl use defaults or lower settings so they can play with decent FPS.

I always use FRAPS cause its easier to use and the quality is great. Yes, there's a performance hit, but my PC can take it.

i suggest game cam lite.. i used it for my vid and it looks fine, didnt lag me at all either
(unless you have really good comp and can use fraps i think it might be best, but i get about 4 fps with it)

I like FRAPs, cuze its easy to use and has very good movie quality, but my problem is that my PC is slow. thats the reason why i must use game cam. with Fraps i have like 3FPS, with game cam like 10-15. i know its low, but its the only way how to record some movie.
Another problem is compresion of final video. tuns of ppl dont have DivX, Xvid, OGM etc codeks, so i using crapy MS WMV format, thats the reason why my videos r so hudge.
