Found out what it does.!

just say you have a +8 item, and you wanna try make it +9, you can rebirth it

so it brings it down to +6.. then, it has a +6 chance of upgrading (more than +8)

but becuase its rebirthed, it will be better than +8 but not as good as +9

does that clear it up a bit? h43r:

close cept for a few thigs....it goes to +5 reversed, and it doesnt get better when u rebirth...its exactly the same til u upgrade it reversed

when upgrading it reversed
+1 rebirth=+7 normal
+5 rebirth=+8 normal
+11 rebirth=+9 normal
+21 rebirth=+10 normal

The Iron bow is at least +11 rebirth, +8 doesnt have that bright of a shine.
