There are not that many people in DLW/DCZ using acid pots as far as I can tell, though I've been hit with them more this past week than ever before. Certainly not enough to warrant carrying hammers, but enough that I think twice about Talias now.

Last day or two I've kept them on me but have only been throwing them at people who throw them at me first. But you're right, it can have a negative effect. Because, when someone acid pots me now, I feel compelled to seek them out and acid pot the hell out of them the rest of the night. *B)

You have not done old DLW as human, that is why you were not used to acid pots.
Jannybug for the win - the acid pots she threw were more than the heals she cast - and I am not exactly joking. And not only her - orcs use to throw them like candies when market was high. There were sins that would not attack me unless they acid potted twice before. Damage below was done within 1 minute - orcs came out of their base and instead of infernos they threw pots - whole pary needed repairs.
I always carry magic hammers. And at some point I even carried 4 sets of gob pants.
