The red pot if im not mistaken only give 10% more AP.
In war I played 80+ warrior, but was just testing if I could break 4k ap on a lvl 69

you need good gear to get good ap as a warrior thats just how it is, there are no secret items you can use

Watch closely.. it's a hb +9.
This guy still has intense strength bonus (+206 - 15 from gain of course but still)
