Transparent Cape Symbols

does any1 know how to do this on GIMP? I know how to make transparent sigs easily on it but for some reason when we tried to upload as .tga my clannie said it didn't show anything on preview and when I saved as .bmp it had black background. Anyways here is this symbol. http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/Boun...3_2006/jsb2.jpg This was b4 I cut out the white parts was going to do it all over again but was wondering if any1 else could help.

gimp on linux ? i haven't check it ... you have to find "channels" somewhere in there ... and save your file as .tga ... than rename it to symbol.bmp (now you can't preview your logo in any windows viewers, you can just check it out in KO)

there are 2 symbols ... with outer ring ... and without ... check them both ... dunno if it gonna look good
