If you've done everything right and you see the transparent symbol in preview but not in your cape it's your computer that is fucked up.
You shouldn't worry about it because everyone else can see it as transparent =)

Try skip the part where he used "Paint Bucket Tool" (the tool that makes the background from transparent to black).

when u have the plain black generic cape given directly after turning in the centaur brain, it makes the entire box area invisible so u can see through it

it goes to normal though once u buy a cape
