"Don't up your shield any further!" would be my advice. Since one can't obtain a chitin shield without spending lots of USD, having a personal shield +7 is a very good alternative. So you've got your shield settled for now, now focus on your other gear. Unless you get a better shield than that personal, DO NOT UPGRADE ...
