    I used to know a few priests in Ares who had a full set of armor w/ those stats. Was gifted from a hacked GM account. Nice for the weapon def, but it doesn't have any HP bonus which basically cancels out the bonus's it has, since he also loses AC for it being paper.

    Actually I thought for every point of weapon def you have thats 1 less point of R damage recieved which would make the skills hit less as well. Example: Howling sword hits for 300% or whatever so if you get hit with R for 100 and you have 20 spear def then howling sword would do 60 points less damage? If im wrong please explain how it works. I was always curious about this.

    Holy shit, do people really not know how wep defense works?

    It is % based.

    % Does not stack, it has diminishing returns with the highest % going first.

    You get spiked 1000 damage, a 50 dd talia will reduce it to 500~. Wearing a 25 dd helm on top of this will reduce the now 500 damage further by 25%, or 125. Now, if you also have a iron belt, you reduce that 375 by a further 10%, or 37.5 damage.

    You turn that 1000 spike into around 340 damage, or around 65%, but you can never get 100% reduction.

    If it was that simple then why don't other wep defs such as spear def and club def work the way DD does? It's common knowledge that DD is more effective than the other weapon defences.

    a sins damage is made up of 2 daggers, hence dd is more effective per point.

    if you stack the same axe defense against a warrior with 2 deep scars, it is the same deal

    Assasin skills are solely percent based, warrior skills have "additional damage" after them like hell blade for example.

    Guess I should test that. Although having 70 DD takes more than 70% of your dmg. Pretty sure with that amount of DD your dmg would be 200-300 with spike. But ohwell.

    just to add that it doesn't really matter which item (talia, In, IB, armor, etc) diminishes first since it's all based on relative change or % over the same base.
