I have confirmed that the longer time u carry the weapon with u (not in the inn), the higher success rate, ut least with me, I've been using some +7's high class, and after some weeks upgrade them to +8.

haha the anvil is almost random for 8 so many ppl try with 5 items or with 10 dunno why.
