Anyone good with creating plug-ins...? $150 USD reward

Definitely a long shot finding someone here but I know a lot of you guys are good with development.

I need a plugin function for a program I use in my graduate research but I have no idea how to develop it.

It's for a program called OsiriX. It is a free and open source program.

In my research I am required to draw a line and insert ten equidistant points. Problem is I have to individually measure 10 points which is extremely time consuming.

tl;dr I need a plugin for OsiriX that will allow me to simply tell the program how many points I want inserted across a given line.
