What is so special about House?

I don't like the show,.. gave it a shot, but simply just not what I'm into. However the show after that, 24, ye ye ^^.

24 has the same thing every season. Some political crap happens, some type of weapon/arms/bomb is on american soil and is about to go off or into the hands of the "bad guys". CTU tries to stop them but they fail, but somehow jack manages to kickass and he saves the day.

Well if you look at it in a general perspective, isn't that what every show is about?... 'the good guy ends up winning'
What makes the show really interesting though is the fact that the events in between (during those 24 hours) are so unpredictable, thus the only thing that's kept me watching it.
