today i was being driven home by my sister (did not have my licence so she had to do it) and on our way we saw this guy mid 40's with pants and a grey sweater. he put his thumb out like normal hitch hikers do,.. and i got in a big arguement with her on how "Not to give strangers a ride". what would you have done ? i wanted to give him a ride and if i was driving yes but, post your expereinces with giving people lifts if you have any. i think that the media portrayed hitch hikers as people who rob you of your possesions while you drive which i dont think is true. so post your experiences

ya i can't deal with people who need rides or homeless people who ask for money i normally give homeless people all the $1's and change i have, but yeh where i live its to small of a town to have cabs in i have seen about 2 cabs when i lived here for 7 years.
