I posted it here because every one in tech support is more concerned with ip and proxy problems atm.

Anyway, every other time I open KO, it opens kinda like window mode, but it lags a lot more, and lately I've been getting this at character select:

Had to edit out something on my emo-background :P

Maybe I should add in the fact that it said, "Cannot create directx 3d device" first time I opened ko today. Then it closed, I re-tried, and then this happened. I've gotten this before, and reinstalled ko because I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I don't want to reinstall, because the download takes forever and I can't leave my comp on for that long the majority of the time. PLEASE help me find a better solution.

Whenever I log into KO, I cannot see any buildings, any characters, npc's, etc...only names and clans. Any suggestions? (PLEASE don't say reinstall KO)

    A number of things.

    GFX Card = Died
    Direct X = Not on you're PC
GFX Card = Needs Up To Date Drivers
RAM = Died and KO is struggling to play.

    Worst case scenario...

    You're motherboard = slowly dying....:X

Along with that direct X error..

    Do the following:

    Start > Run > DXDiag and Check you're version..Mine = DirectX 9.0c 4.09.0000.0904

Then goto the DirectX Files tab...and See at the bottom where notes are displayed, it should say "No problems" or somthing alike.

Then goto the "Display" tab..and Click the "test Direct3D button" (If that dosen't work, i advise you look into downloading and fixing up Direct X...seems you're problem sir.

If Direct X is fine..go back to the other options I gave you..Ram..GFX Card etc...

    Omgzors

Possibility 1: I got a new GFX Card
Possibility 2: I know I have Direct X, I need it to play other games.
Possibility 3: It should update itself.
Possibility 4: I haven't used my computer that much today, so I don't think thats the problem.

Possibility 5: Don't wanna think about it

Test if you can create 3D devices...
start -> run -> dxdiag -> tab display

i used to get this error randomly, but it never affected anything, so im not sure this "failure to create 3d devices" is conclusive to the entire problem.

need to give us a lil more info here.
    1) what os are u running. (looks like vista but want to make sure)
    2) does all your other programs run fine. if so then its ko and you are gonna have to reinstal.
    3) what graphics card are u runing Nvidia, ati, or a piece of crap?

it looks like the file that holds the graphics in the main ko file got corrupted somehow. it might be easier to make a copy off of a friends comp and then cut+paste it into yours. if thats not the prob then you are gonna have to reinstal.......... or quit ko :P

My os is xp, Shaiya won't work, but Cabal will  and im running on an ATI Radeon X1300/X1500 Series.

This is the second time this has happened, I couldn't ever figure out what was wrong, and was forced to reinstall. It worked fine for a while, but its happened again
