Surprised that I haven't seen any post about this yet.
As some of you may know there was a plane crash on the 7th of september in russia where 44 out of the 46 people who travelled with the aircraft was whiped out.
The hockey team Lokomotiv Yaroslavl (playing it the KHL) were the passengers attending the flight along with 8 crewmembers, the only survivors thus far is the forward: Alexander Galimov and the flight steward Alexander Zizov.
There's no doubt that some great hockeyplayers were lost on this day and the entire hockeyworld is in chock right now.
The plane that was used during the flight was the Yakovlev Yak-42 which was banned in europe because of it's security flaws.
