what is the max range of the m16a4 service rifle?

So we have these little call games on tv here in belgium..
there was this math puzzle which i found had a very weird answer

puzzle: How much is the outcome of these numbers
1 tip: use basic rules of counting (or something dont know how to translate )

17 + 3 x 5 : 2 - 10 + 2 x 0 = ....

my basic thoughts says the answer is 0.. since you can't multiply something with nothing
now after 40 minuts after hearing the weirdest numbers.. the answer by the presentator was 14,5

can some math genius tell me how in gods name the answer is that number[/b]

You dont have to be a genius to solve this rofl. If they are no ( ) , you just have to go from left to right and take the 'x' and ':' first.

So first you start with 3x5 = 15 : 2 = 7.5 - 10 = -2.5
then 2x 0 = 0

Last step: 17 + (-2.5) = 14.5

the max range on an area target, such as providing efficient enough supression so that another fireteam/squad can move up to the objective, is 800m,

the max range on an area target, such as an individual target (person, barrel, dog) is 550-600m.
