i've been playing quake 3 arena for ... like years, same server ctfdemostyle (capture the flag)
u shoot the ground, and u go flyin thru the air

- u can download the demo for free, which is almost the same as full version, u can play online, etc
- from when u first double click teh icon, to the time you are in-game ready to fight, is about 10 seconds
- dont need to make an account or anything, download, start game, play
- only bad thing is people can copy your name, but it doesn't happen often
