    Default New Lappy !

Hey guys after a week of looking around and checking into a lot of laptop features, dad and I came to a conclusion and bought this 990€ lappy (originally 1299€)

    Acer Aspire 7738G-904G50Mn

    Processor:
    Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000

    Screen:
    17.3 inches

    Ram:
    4gb DDR3

    Video:
nVidia GeForce GT130M with 1gb vid memory

What do you guys think ? Was it a good investment ? I needed a lappy since I had no more personal computer and I can't stand desktops anymore !

seems nice, but im afraid its only good for using on desk only, isnt really suitable for carrying around due to it is quite heavy and the screen is too big = fragile.
but other than that, performance figures are promising.

no laptop is an investment in 1 year it will be close to half price

i would think you overpaid but im not 100% on the video card if its worth it or not . only worth 1,000 if u really wanted the extra 2 inches on the monitor .... dunno size or speed of your hd tho so maybe its a good price

It's more or less like 9600m GT so it's quite good (for a lappy ofc)

if the vid cards decent then not to shabby but the hd while 500 gb is good i would rather have less space and the faster rpm

It's not rly . Even 17" lappy is more handy than PC+Screen. Just put it a bag or sth.

You got me wrong. I never said a lappy is not usefull. I just dont get why he pays so much for good pc requirements when he doesnt even need good requirements.

He could have bought a lappy from a supermarket for like 500€ max and it would fit him perfectly. Thats what I got myself. Cheap lappy for school stuff. I cant run a decent game on it, but I dont need to be able to run games on it. Would only distract me of the things I need to do >.<

my friend had an acer, he hated it haha.

i recommend Mac's. hands down the fastest most advanced laptops out there, though expensive well worth the investment
