hmmm well i have an exam tomorrow about doing a lab on paper only... and i need to calculate pH with formulas and i wonder if anyone is geek enough to understand all that crap and teach me in the next 3 hours?

well ph is amount of h+ ions in a substance etc the ph of ur blood is 7 etc and i gotta look in my bio book to find more info did this shit 2-3 mmonths ago xD
the highest amount oh ph is 14 and lowest is 1
omg i know that you dummy boi.... i just need to know how to use Ca Va = Cb Vb and [H+] [OH-]= 10^14
in a situation like the following
so hmm .. for example... if i have to find the pH of a solution of NaOH of 0.04 g/L and if that base makes OH- ions for each molecules of NaOH(strong base )and also (NaOH ->> Na+ + OH- ) .
P.S i hate translating french notions into english ones :P
use PH strips xD
i would say ask lutz...but refer to my sig
:blink: for what grade is this lol
Shit I did that in my grade 11 chemistry last year but i can't remember how to do it.
Look in your textbook it's bound to be in there
we changed teacher 5 times in 3 months cuz our original teacher made a burnout... so all the stuff we saw it a hundred times faster -__-
Technically, no, you could have a negative pH and a pH of 15 or higher.well ph is amount of h+ ions in a substance etc the ph of ur blood is 7 etc and i gotta look in my bio book to find more info did this shit 2-3 mmonths ago xD

pH is a logarithmic scale (so basically, 10^x power, where the D(x) = all real numbers).hmmm well i have an exam tomorrow about doing a lab on paper only... and i need to calculate pH with formulas and i wonder if anyone is geek enough to understand all that crap and teach me in the next 3 hours? Now, the "middle" of the pH scale is 7, the pH of water, which is considered neutral, and the lower on the pH scale you are, the more acidic; I believe lemon juice or something like that is a pH of 4 or something, and the more basic you are, the higher on the pH scale you are.
pH is the concentration of H+ ions in the solution, and to calculate you just do acid and base solutions, the concentrations of each H+ and OH-.
It's pretty simple; I remember very little... this is all 10th grade crap <_<
p = F/A ! woot only thing i know rofl
What?p = F/A ! woot only thing i know rofl[/b]
Its the formula for Pressure u slow ssssslutz @ pressure = force / area.
