pH is the direct meeasure of the Concentration of Hydrogen Ions in solution.
Some general Formulas to rememebr
[H+][OH-]=1x10^-14
-log(H+)=pH
-log(OH-)=pOH

i could actually help you since i do live in canada as well, and i know whats u talking about :P,even tough i have not seen that for ages. PH is just a simple algorithm it is all about practice.
