Science is not about facts, it is about theories. Do you doubt the theory of electrical conductivity? Or of atoms? In any case, i think the point i made is very, very strong if you actually understand it. It is not science vs religion (religion is a puerile joke in philosophical terms, we knew that 2000 years ago), science and the idea of an impersonal god are intrinsically linked. An impersonal god has nothing to do with religion.
