I mean, I smell BS in Jason's topic. This information I posted is accurate and is from a guy who follows the north pole around to see how much it changes. I study geography and I can't find a reason why our magnetic field would just dissapear WHILE it's changing, does that make sense to any of you? If it dissapears, why would it change? If it's gone, why would it come back? The only thing it would disrupt is the climate by 10 - 25 degrees anywhere, anytime. And there wouldn't be 1 magnetic south & north pole but about five - six of each located all around the planet. SO this theory sucks :P

And yellowstone national park isn't going to go boom boom in the next 50,000 years or so
