designing a logo ain't that hard. Just make it simple like so :



it's easy to animate as well (make the colored layers spin around, ...)

it ain't that hard to create a logo, because most web 2.0 logo are fairly simple. to bad the graphic part of the forum died a bit =/ a competition would've been great for a nice logo.

Thats a pretty nice logo, though a little border around where the forum name is at would make it look nicer since it seems a bit too plain on that side.

Im not sure if that are the right colours. Not my taste atleast. The layout is nice tho.

edit: I like the steady G also. Perhaps let a shine go from G from gamers to E from life?
