[Forum] How to make the site profitable

No, don't want to be rich with the forum or anything, I have a formal job for that. Never did, not gonna start now. But, I've been bleeding money for the past years to keep this forum alive. We have no ads cause we are in violation of some Adsense policy and they removed all the ads. Tried to appeal but they still say we are in violation. Prolly one post with porn or some shit I was never able to find. So, there's been no source of income but my credit card for a long long time.

Any ideas on how to make this forum autosustainable? Please viable ideas that people will like/understand.

Monthly fee, ask SheldonCooper or any private server owner that bought stickied topics on turkish forums, they should know a price range.

Benefits.. well, perhaps a "premium" section made only for VIP users? with some premium content of curse.

Colored thread titles or icons + stickies. Stickies alone are nice but the current stickies would have to be cleared out. When I think "pinned threads" I think forum rules, guides and other generic stuff like that, so I often skip straight to the bottom to find actual private server threads.

Stickies could also be used in marketplace sections.

What would be the point of the "VIP" or "premium" stuff? I cannot think of anything else that those members could do over normal ones. That package often includes getting rid of the ads but there are no ads in the first place, and the deceased VIP forum section was never that interesting as far as I'm aware. New stuff would have to be implemented just for that.

If you want to gain the money you've lost for paying the forum needs, then add a donation box and you'll see how it goes.

If you wanna make some extra money, the best option is the sticky threads @psko section.

You're probably right since whatever content we have there, it will be leaked eventually.

In this case, VIP users may have the following benefits.
- Name change?
- Be able to request one of the staff members to color 1 or 2 maybe 3.. of their topic's title.
