still, this new warning system is way better then the old one. now a mod can give an infraction to someone and everyone will know what post caused the warning and how many points the user got for it.

Not just that, all warnings and infractions go to a forum inside the moderator area so we can keep track of all infractions easily. Admins can see all infractions made so if a mod gets out of line, we can easily see that. Same goes in the case someone removes an infraction.

Control goes both ways, users and admins/mods.

Typically, unless the infraction was severe, 7 days.

i got put on probation like 3-4 days ago. how long untill my probation is up and i can make threads again?

I believe they expire after seven days unless set for a longer time period by the mod/admin who gave you the infraction.

Your probation will expire when you're below 2 points.
Go to your profile, click on infractions and it will tell you when it expires.
